About Us

Two Midwestern souls collided at an event one afternoon in the city after being introduced by a mutual friend. We talked about those things that you do when you are both flirting! We met again at another event and the flirting continued, this time leading to exchanging phone numbers, which led to more dates and the rest is history! We dated for six years before we got married. The day we were married was one of the greatest days of our lives. We had such a long relationship and shared so much together that becoming a union and putting it on paper was an exciting day. We have been married for over 3 years and have a 2 year old daughter named Vivian. We love our family time. We enjoy family bike rides, hiking, music classes, festivals, concerts and travel. Vivian has already been to 10 states and we look forward to continuing to add additional states!

Our home / Our pets

We live in an older bungalow house in a cute neighborhood in the city. Our house sits on a block that connects to one of the coolest things that has happened to this city - it is a pedestrian trail called the beltline. We walk everywhere, to parks, swimming pools, restaurants, and shopping. We have 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. We love all kinds of animals in our household and enjoy the bond that a human and animal can make. We have an English Bulldog named Kahlua, Vivian's co-pilot! Kahlua loves chasing after balls. She is the first one to greet our guests and loves everyone who will play ball with her! We both enjoy the love of gardening and design. We are trying to continue to evolve our household and make it a unique, fun setting for both kids, adults and dogs too. We have a great community that hosts an annual neighborhood festival that we look forward to sharing with future children!

Our extended family

We both were raised by loving and supportive parents and continually had family and friends around to encourage, guide and support us as we developed into the people we are today. Matt's parents and two older brothers are excited about our plans to adopt. Even though they live out of state, we get together a few times a year and Skype frequently. Matt's father is adopted, so we know firsthand what a true blessing adoption can be. Angela's parents live nearby. She has two older brothers who live out of state (both of her brothers have two daughters). Her family gets together several times a year. We see her parents many times during the month.
What Led Us To Adoption
We have always wanted to fill our home with children who have siblings to play with and share in the wisdom as to what we call childhood and explore this world all throughout adulthood. In July 2015, we had the pleasure of introducing a little baby girl named Vivian Rose into our lives. Complications that came up after the most beautiful birth led to a few medical procedures that left Angela with the inability to carry a child. We glided on the roller coaster ride of having a slim chance of conception through surrogacy, but after months of shots and testing, it was unsuccessful with a 0% chance of happening in the future. We were saddened by this news, but also realized that brave women like you are allowing families, like us, to live out our lifelong dreams.
